Beyond books - live music in Leederville Library

Come up for some FREE ACOUSTIC LIVE MUSIC in the Leederville Campus Library on Wednesday November 21 from 12 to 1pm as part of the Live @ the Library series.

This will be the third session in the series showcasing Central's Music Diploma students. First up were Shred Factory, an outfit that boasted 3 guitarists, 1 bass and a cellist who was also lead vocals. They had a wonderful, dark and powerful sound with their twisty haunting songs punctuated with delightful quick-fingered guitar riffs.

Next up duo The Arcades made a return visit with a couple of poppy numbers, and lastly another set of folky ballads from Flair with two guitars and a vocalist. They were joined in their second song by a couple of the musicians from Shred Factory showing, once again, the cooperative and collaborative nature of Centrals music students.

The future of the Perth music scene looks set to be a vibrant community as these young artists enter the fray. We wish them every joy and luck with their future ventures.
